The 2008-2009 PNA Bowling season
will begin on Tuesday August 26th, at 7 PM.

This Tuesday's PNA bowling league
handicap tournament brought to a close the 2007-2008 bowling
season. The league had 29 bowlers participate in this year's
tournament. Mike Fubio was on his game Tuesday night
rolling games of 243, 227, and 266 for a 766 series to win
the handicap tournament. Mike
has a 3 pin handicap for 3 game for a total score of 769.
Mike said he was happy with the big night on the lanes. He
knew he had to bowl really well to make up the 1 pin per
game handicap.

Don Sabo had a good night on
the lanes and it was due to one of the largest come backs of
his career. Don started the night out with a 151 game which
included a missed spare and 3 splits. In the 2nd and 3rd
game Don made an adjustment on the lanes and came alive. Don
started the 2nd game out with 4 in a row. On his 5th shot he
left a 7 pin and converted for a spare. Don finished the
game with 7 in a row to finish with a 279 game. Don
completed the 3rd game with a 245 rolling a 675 scratch
series 726 with handicap. "After the 1st game I
thought I was out of the tournament but you never know how
others are really doing. So I stayed focused. I started
stringing strikes and it worked out well for me. This night
taught me a lesson to never give up. You never know what
might happen."
Richie Desalle has been
Sand-Bagging his entire bowling career. However if you ask
him to spell Sand-Bagging or ask him what it means or even
have him pronounce the word, he
would not have a clue. In this week's tournament Richie
rolled games of 167, 171, and 175 for a 513 series. With
Richie's 213 handicap for 3 games he ended the night with a
726 series and tied for 2nd in the tournament. Last place
on the average sheet with a 139 average Ritchie proved
that he can come up big when it counts. We asked Ritchie
how it felt to bowl well and win the big bucks, however Ritchie
was so excited about the win and his bowling he could not
even talk. Many know it's like this all the time so Ritchie
is not hiding anything.

season. This year we had 19 bowlers roll
perfect attendance of 105 games. Last season there
were 12 bowlers with perfect attendance.
