  Congratulation to Dan Knight on September 18th, 2007 became the 5th bowler in PNA history to record a 300 game. Dan joins the names of Tom Sposaro (3 PNA 300 games),  Bob Jones,  Joe Weiss, and John Massoud. Dan Knight from Fair Oaks, PA, started the night out with a 278 game. He had a strike in the 1st and 2nd frame and converted a 1 pin spare. In the 3rd he finished the game with 9 strikes in a row. Dan thought he was in for an easy night however he ran into a road block in the first 3 frames of the 2nd game. In the 1st frame Dan rolled a perfect ball in the pocket and the result was a 7-10 split. In the 2nd and 3rd frame Dan missed 1 pin spares to give him 3 opens and an upward climb to regain his rhythm. Dan never gave up. He fought back as he struggled throughout the 2nd game. In the 9th frame Dan switched to a ball that rolls longer and he moved 4 boards left on the approach. This seemed like a good move because Dan rolled 4 in a row to finish the game with a 175. When Dan started the 3rd game his confidence was back. Dan rolled 12 perfect balls in the pocket to complete his first career 300 game. He finished the night rolling 15 strikes in a row for a season high 753 series. “After my first game I thought I was on cruise control until I hit a road block. I knew I had a chance for a big night and I kept telling myself to not give up. I made the ball change and the move on the approach at the right time and that was the key to a big finish.” In Dan's bowling career he came close two times to a perfect game rolling 2-299 games and 1-298 game. His best series was an 821 series. Dan’s 300 game won him the weekly jackpot and he will also received 2 adwards from the USBC for a 300 game and for bowling 75- pins over his average.
